MARRIAGE PLANNING AT GEORGE STREET UNITED CHURCH

George Street United Church offers a traditional setting for wedding ceremonies. The edifice is well lit and had two aisles approximately 50 feet from the spacious nartex to the chancel area. Bridal parties have traditionally processed in one aisle to the chancel and recessed out the other. There is central aisle seating for approximately 200 people, with an overall seating capacity of 600 people.

We are located in the Downtown core of St. John's on George Street West and in close proximity to a number of hotels and restaurants that provide catering services. There is ample parking after normal business hours and on weekends to accommodate a wedding of any size.

Premarital counseling is available from the George Street Ministerial staff. Bridal parties can experience a ceremony in the traditional and contemporary styles. The minister and staff are also open to creative music and liturgy planning.

George Street United Church is equipped with a Rogers electronic / pipe combination, 3 manual organ, 3 manual keyboard and pianos. Music and instrument selections are to be coordinated with the Director of Music.

For information on the fee structure for weddings, please contact the church office at 709-726-8775.

Please note that the Minister and Staff reserve the right to not accommodate requests, in whole or in part, if circumstances are deemed necessary.
