Mission Statement

As people of God, we form a community of faith in the United Church of Canada. We proclaim the good news of the Christian gospel. We honour our belief in a creative and caring God, whose Spirit helps and encourages us to create opportunities to meet the spiritual needs of our community.

We are called by God’s Spirit to reach out to those around us in love, using our resources to seek justice, healing and hope for every person. We welcome all who come to worship with us, knowing that we are all one body in Christ.

We accept the challenge of changing social circumstances, both as individuals and as a community. We commit to working together to create a loving and accepting church family; where we can support and nurture one another, secure in the knowledge that God’s love surrounds us always.

We extend a special welcome to all visitors. Everyone is invited for refreshments and fellowship in Room “C” following worship.

Please call the Rev. Sue White on the pager at 778-0002 in the event of a pastoral emergency. If you need or know of a need for a pastoral visit, please call Rev. Sue White at the church office (726-8775) or the pager at (778-0002). Rev. Sue’s email address: revsue@georgestunitedchurch.com

The Salvation Army, Springdale Street, through consultation has agreed that their entire parking lot is available to us for parking during Sunday morning services.

Meet our staff, find out how to contact us, or where we are located. Be sure to check out our announcements, photos and outreach pages to view the latest news, information, and photographs!
